Hunter Littlebird, Program Director

Hunter's journey in sports began at the age of six when he first picked up a baseball. What started as a childhood pastime grew into a lifelong passion, eventually leading him to the game of golf. Throughout grade school, high school and beyond, Hunter competed on travel teams, earning numerous All-Star accolades.
Now, as a dedicated father to his eight-year-old son, he shares his love of sports by coaching at his son’s school and empowering youth through the game of golf as the Program Director for Golf for Growth.

In his early twenties, Hunter worked alongside his father, Larry Littlebird, assisting with youth and elder mentorship programs. His father’s teachings—focused on Native American youth leadership, intergenerational farming, and wilderness retreats—inspired Hunter to continue the family legacy of education, coaching and mentorship.

His coaching philosophy centers on using sports as a tool to build confidence, character, and essential life skills. He believes in the power of outdoor play, where children can develop teamwork and interpersonal skills in a fun and supportive environment. His motto, "Fair play on the fairway," reinforces the importance of integrity and camaraderie in both sports and life.
When he’s not on the golf course, Hunter can be found in the recording studio, finalizing his upcoming country music album, set for release in 2026.
